CALL CENTER JOBS IN CUMBRIA

The local economy of Cunbria may have a breath of relief for as many as fifty plus jobs are saved in the area. British Telecom has be kind enough in securing as many jobs as possible after it stated of its decision of closing its directory enquiry center that is located in Barrow.

This is owing to the fact that more and more people are using the internet. Either ways the company has assured people that it will thus secure as many as fifty tow jobs by getting some alternative jobs and also upgrading the call center in the mean while. This has seen a lot many beaming faces in including members of The Communication Workers Union (CWU).

The company has made its intentions clear and people interested in staying with the company while dealing with these alternative tasks may let their voice be known and clear. The alternative job would thus be in customer services for the people who decided to stick to BT even after the directory center shuts down. Details regarding this are being finalized and employees may as well be known of the final word by as much as mid-February

The people who are thus finally continuing with BT will also work at the same place where they are now, that is the building in Barrow. CWU deputy general secretary, Andy Kerr is also positive of good outcomes in the future for the local economy. Upgrading the technology infrastructure has BT give its total dedication and focus for the same.

For once, the future of employees in the Barrow area is nothing short of bright what with the solid investment and long terms plans that BT has in store for the area. Directory enquiries in the mean while will cease at the centre on the 28th of January 2011. The workers who have seen the shadow of uncertainty looming over for quite some time now seem very relieved for once.
